Two decklink quad 2 cards as playout - with key

Have anyone tried to setup Caspar with two quad 2 cards with keyer? - I can get through with one card on all four channels, however the second card I can’t get hold of.
Any ideas?

I configured a dual Quad 2 system just recently (but with 16 outs, no fill key) In the Decklink control panel they appear after each other, and can be accessed as usual. Can you see the cards in the control panel? You need to configure the outputs as fiil & key pair. So you get 8 outs.

In your case yes. In my case I made 16.

On your second card, how do you playout stuff? play 2-1(,2,3,4) or ?

Channel 1 to 4 is on the first card, channel 5 to 8 on the second so:

PLAY 5-10 Blabla

to play “Blabla” on channel 5, the first channel on the second card, on layer 10.

I’m getting a ton of errors as soon as I add channel 5, with 4 channels it works.

I don’t see anything. Can you try to replace your decklink sections with this and see, if that helps:

This has to be different for each channel. It represents your Decklink SDI output. Five outputs would go from <device>1</device> to <device>5</device>

Hey Hreinnbreck, thanks for spotting that, however it was in a new config I loaded, so its not causing the error.

Can you try what happens if you take out the second card? Try if it works with 4 channels. If that works put the second card in the slot were the first is (swap them out) and try again. That makes sure, that both cards are healthy.

I can playout from BMDs media express. However I’ll give it a go

BMD Express is a test of a single output. It might be that your motherboard doesn’t have enough PCI express lanes to do multiple simultaneous outputs.

ex.

Found the solution, due to the key option I just needed to skip device 6-8.
