Triggering via Ross Talk

Has anyone had any luck triggering playout over network via Ross Talk? Or is the best way to trigger CG through GPIO?

AFAIK there is no such thing. But as Ross Talk is a plain text protocol it would be quite easy to program a middleware that converts the Ross Talk commands in the OSC commands that CasparCG client can understand.

You’ll want TSL UMD instead of Ross Talk if you are looking to trigger CasparCG from a Ross switcher.

you can also use the ProBel router protocol, SW-P-08l protocol, we have that working directly from a Ross switcher.
