Has anyone ever streamed their output from CasparCG to a Chromecast?
Vlc 3.0 can stream to chromecast, so you can probably do it via that.
I don’t know how vlc do it, so don’t know if it’s something we can do more natively

A ChromeCast is essentially just displaying web pages that are remotely controlled. I haven’t managed to get a CasparCG stream into a browser reliably (have had some ffmpeg examples running for a few seconds, though) so that would be the first milestone, I guess.
Once that is possible it’s mostly just a matter of instructing the chromecast to play the web app and maybe some basic controls. But that is all reference implementations, trivial compared to the first step.
I would follow Julusian 's idea : Open Casparcg’s output RTMP from VLC and stream to Chromecast , VLC can easily be automated then.
