Performance Warning - Buffer Mapping Blocked

Hello,

I am playing around with CCG 2.1 Beta 2 today. 2.0.7 is repeatedly breaking for some reason (I have a feeling it has to do with the old frontend interface, but nonetheless). I am trying out 2.1, however I get this issue when playing videos:

[2018-09-13 15:55:16.830] [6116] [warning] [buffer] Performance warning. Buffer mapping blocked: 0.069

I cannot tell if the playout is smooth, as I am performing the tests remotely via TeamViewer (I no longer am at the location of my old studio). Does anyone have any experience with this message and why it is coming up?

Thank you,
Jack

More importantly is the issue arising in 2.0.7. This is using a clean install of CCG server, not frontend. I am getting this error:

[2018-09-13 17:08:23.254] [6356] [debug] DeckLink SDI 4K [1-1|1080i5994] allocated a total of 0 bytes and was called 0 times during playout

Here is some more detail in the log:

I have no idea why this is happening, and this has only started recently. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

I think your first message means that the system may be struggling occasionally to maintain the desired output(s); backgrounds apps (antivirus etc.) can cause performance jitter/judder.

For your second one (“allocated a total…”), do you get any video output at all?

Hello, thank you for your response. What is odd to me is the system has not struggled with playback performance, it either works or it doesn’t.

In regards to the second one, I am testing that now. I managed to remotely feed the ATEM’s output back into a workstation for monitoring over the internet, so I will respond with any updates to that soon. Blackmagic’s official apps seem to be struggling, so I am thinking there may be issues beyond Caspar.

If it helps, I have had hardware detection issues after driver version 10.9.5 with my BMD DeckLink Duo 2 not being detected by the input/output configuration app.

Not even the folks at BMD have been able to identify the cause of this.

Hmm… interesting. I just updated to 10.11.2, however the issues persisted in 10.8.6, which I’ve been on for the last six or so months because its been stable.
