Need control panel for Vision Radio

I need a control panel as playout for our mp4 videoclips. The playout should be sent to NDI.

Playlist also are a feature but will be next stage if we achieve the first one above

One solution:

In companion create buttons with commands like “play 1-10 clip1.mp4”, “play 1-10 clip2.mp4” and rename the clips to that in the media-folder.

Second solution:

Use olzzons/tv2s cliptool

Third solution:

Use vmix

I would suggest something similar, but would maybe write a little software, that does the handling between the Streamdeck and Caspar, so that you can assign the clips you want to play more easily and don’t need to modify the Companion project every time you want to change a clip.

Or use OSC in companion and trigger the official casparclient with UID’s

Thanks anyone. My issue is I’m already using Vmix but I need now to use playout tool and of course NDI to connect to Vmix is needed. Making playout tool will allow me random playing, scheduled playing and so on. NDI anyway is not working even if I installed the tools 6.2. We use Italian playout for our needs but often it crashes and there is no solution then changing it. Thanks again

You say NDI is not operating for you, and you mention tools 6.2, so I assume you are using a Windows host?

CasparCG server is built with NDI version 5. It uses system environment variables such as NDI_RUNTIME_DIR_V2 to discover where the NDI runtime support library is located. There are multiple such variables ( …_V2 …_V3 …_V4 …_V5), all pointing to the same folder.
