"Error: Failed to bind to ListenSocket"

Hi I’m just getting started.
Should I be concerned with this error?

When and where do you see this message.

Its in the console output after starting the server. It might have been because I didn’t have a client running. I think the error went away when I did.
But perhaps the message should read “Failed to find a client” instead
of “Failed to bind to ListenSocket”, as we users don’t know the purpose of a ListenSocket.

Sounds like you ran more than one CCG server and since it uses a specific port the second one you started could not use the port (5250).

This could be. If I return to using the software I’ll see if that was the case.

I’ve also just had this error - I can’t get any audio out of Caspar. It’s not showing up in the meters and the same video clip played in VLC will provide audio to the mixer. I’m going via a BMD Decklink. Will post the log tomorrow. It works fine under my login but under my colleagues we get this error.

The user should be a Administrator. So maybe your colleagues are only users. I usually always use a single user account for Caspar (usually with an auto-logon).
