Don't see any media in my client, media scanner running, but show errors

Can anyone tell me what’s going on?
Last week, everything worked without problems.

Tried netstat -aof in a cmd prompt.
Could’nt see anything.

Only a page telling me that it’s not possible to get connection.
When media scanner is running, I get a blank page.

Are you sure, that Scanner.exe has the rights to access these folders. It is sometimes better to move the media and template folders to a data drive were everybody has full access.

I’ve had the folders on another drive, but had problems, so I just changed to the local folders in the server…

And now you still have problems So you better check the rights Scanner.exe has, as it looks like it is not able to access your files. Is the user an administrator?

Hmm seams like scanner does not want to bind to port 8000.
are you really sure no other service is running on that port.

you can use netstat resmon or tcpview for this.

i think a other proccess has kidnapped that port. or a firewall rule is preventing it to be used

Have you run netstat after you lanched Caspar and the Scanner? Because port 5250 (AMCP comands) and 8000 (Scanner.exe) should be visible.

I remembered something!
First time I had it running, I’ve put the machine on a local network, without internet connection, just to be able to reach the server from a client on the network.

Now I found an old modem with router in, connected the machine, witout internet access and no other computers on the network.

So now it works!
It simply has to be connected to a router or a switch.

Yes that’s one of those anoying things that you forget about until that moment it does not work

It actually is a Bug. Maybe you should report that on github
