hello everyone,
i have win 11, decklink duo 2 mini card, casparcg 2.3.2, and i have truble to get out my html graphic. Before 2 days, everything was working with 2 phisical cables, internal keyer in configuration of casparcg file, but somehow i changed the code, and i cant remember what was exacly the configuration i done it. So, my cables are on sdi1 and sdi 3 (after reference first two outs from the decklink duo2 mini) . Video drivers decklink: 14.5, sdi: all 4 outpust in settings. My casparcg.config file today only with consumer looks like this:
You consumers block is a mess. It should have a Decklink listed and you can get rid of the rest. But only replace from <consumers> to </consumers> and leave the rest of the file intact.
But I don’t remember, what the mapping of the connectors on the card should be, as this is always a bit messy. But if you had it working with internal keying and remember that, you will get it to work. Other ways by try and error.
By the way: For external keying with a vision mixer you need to set things in the Decklink applet in control panel. There are plenty of treads here in the forum on how to do that (search for Decklink Duo as it’s the same setup as with the mini).
thank you very much. i couldnt do it. Is it posible to get out html graphics over one sdi out one phisical cabel with no key and fill just as a overlay to constallation 8k?
The problem is, that you need to understand, how you can make it to overlay. The Constellation usually works best, if you use two cables (fill & key). That is called “external” keying. Then it would be possible to only use one cable and feed it to the Constellation for a “luminance key”, where you key away the black area, or as a “chroma key” where you have a blue or green background behind your graphics, that you key away in the Constellation. Or you could feed the output of the Constellation into an input of your Decklink and take another connector as an output. That is called “internal key”. But that is the badest way to do it, as if you have a problem with your Caspar you also loose the whole program. So to help you further, I would need to know, what way you want to go.
You are so pation with me, thank you on thet. I woulkd like to go with two cables , already sdi conected…and i am defenetly sure its after the reference sdi1 and sdi3, one besides another…i know thet couse i am using playdeck to check it out, what sdi out is active and working. :). So i have for sure sdi1 as a fill, and sdi3 as a key. TRying to mix up casparcg versions so maybe its problem inthere but i dont think so. I have all my sdi, all four, are configured as sdi outs, but maybe i have to do something like sdi1 and sdi2..but then probably keyer: internal would work..i will check it out thet.
It needs to read: <keyer>external</keyer>
to make it work. Then you will get a black and white picture with the alpha channel (key) and a color picture with the fill. As it does not always make sense what connectors carry what signal, I would check first with a monitor one after the other, until you know, what signal comes out of what connector, before connecting to the Constellation. Other ways you have two variables: the connectors and the settings in the mixer. From there it should be easy.
