CasparCG Silent Crash on AMD Ryzen 5600G

Some time ago, I opened a topic about CasparCG crashing, and at that moment it was a very specific error. I had to download a specific dev version and extract it to the desktop. If I moved or renamed it, it would crash. I used it like that for quite a while - whenever I updated, I would download the files and extract them into the folder without touching anything.

However, one day I updated my video drivers, and then the error returned. From the first available version to the latest dev or stable, whenever I send a command, CasparCG crashes. The logs don’t register anything - it’s a silent error. I’ve seen other topics with the same issue, and what do they have in common? AMD. I’m going crazy.

So I’m opening this topic again to find out what might be happening. I even formatted my PC and the problem persists.

The only way it doesn’t crash is by removing all the consumers! And if you add an NDI or any other one, it freezes

This is probably the known issue with AMD gpus Server locking / crashing after play command on Win 11 with AMD GPU - #6 by Julusian

It’s something deep and specific, because the logs don’t capture it. I tried to clone but it failed when running .\tools\windows\build.bat, so I ended up giving up. I know that with open-source software implementations and fixes take longer (FreeCAD user, haha), but I hope there’s a solution — I like Caspar.

Well, I did a quick test here and version 22.5.1 WHQL doesn’t crash. It was a quick test, but I still need to send more commands, such as playing video and template at the same time, to know if it’s supported
