Best codec for video playback

Any tips on what the best codec would be to handle 4k 25fps videos?

I test with 4:4:4:4 and I feel low quality as compared to QuickTime Animation means it is prominent specially gradients

We have good results with HDcam 50 oor EXCam EX 35 clips. (HD1080i50)
These play with lighter CPU load as H264 clips
Be aware that with Caspar 2.1 cross dissolves with h264 clips have performance problems.
run DIAG to see what’s causing performance problems.
